Clipboard Manager and History App Reviews

I write ALOT. I currently am writing on three stories and need a Clipboard app where I can organize my clips. This apps sorting feature is frustrating. Trying to get the clips in proper alphabetical order (a huge help for character lists, etc.) is nearly impossible even though I have manual sort on. It also needs a better file system than just date and time. How are you suppose to remember what day you added a clip? Being able to assign a label for the clip and have the app sort it by their labels instead of the date and time would be so much more helpful. Having to search through a long list takes forever. Also, an on-and-off slip button would be nice to turn off iCloud syncing as I hate iCloud and never use it. Too many problems and lost files with it. Having said that, the app does have potential and some nice features which is why I gave it three stars instead of two.

Wish I had found this years ago. I clip crazily daily. Im big on direct segments from sources. And their links. I use the clips for blogs, Facebook discussions, class I teach, courses I take, and my own notes. Its incredibly well documented. You can understand how it works, choose the settings, and easily use the app to its fullest. It can work in the background, so that you can clip without opening the app from the background each time to paste. It does not automatically overwrite one clip over another (as some apps do - stupidly). There are separate sets of clips generated for links and images. Dev: I would love to be able to check off specific clips and merge them into one. That would change my world!

I do a lot of Bible reading and mark a lot of notes. This app makes it very easy to copy various information over and over again.

Started using this three years ago on an iPod. Was excellent then...and still is. Apple should make it a Native App.

Very useful. I use it to collect links from Twitter, Flipboard and other aggregators to check later when I am at my desktop.

Love the ability to have this application on my iPhone. I wish the iOS system built this in or automatically accepted everything I copy into the app. The iOS system automatically times out after I havent used it for a while. Its a flaw of the iOS and not a flaw of this app.

A little cumbersome and awkward but gets the job done. Addendum: I find it helpful when managing passwords. However, after accumulating a number of entries, especially with complex passwords, it becomes difficult to remember what the entry relates to. Therefore, I wish there was a way to assign a name or description to the entry.

This is a wonderful assistance in just about everything regarding use of the clipboard. It saves notes, one atop another, for selection and use later on (after many copy & paste operations in between), and it allows editing of the clips themselves. I couldnt live without this now.

This really is a great app. It suited my needs perfectly. I do a lot of copying and pasting and needed an intelligent program to handle a lot of text and numbers. Its a well designed, well thought out, logically structured program that has yet to disappoint me. Has not crashed or frozen up on me; not even close. I rely on this program to perform some pretty important functions and its been a pleasure to use. I would gladly have paid more for it.

Doesnt seem to capture everything I copy but that could be operator error. I may not have had it running during the time it didnt pick them up. It does pick up stuff that wont seem to copy to the system clipboard. Once picked up in this app it is easy to force the system clipboard to accept it. This is my primary reason for getting a third party clipboard.

Ive been using this for years. Does a great job, especially the iCloud feature synch.

I have had a versatile clipboard manager on all of my Macs for more than 15 years, and I cannot imagine being without this functionality. This app for iOS filled an urgent need for me, as I have grdually shifted more of my computing activity to my iPad in the last few years. The Clipboard app is excellent. I give it 5 stars even though it cant run full-time because of Apples restrictions. I agree with other reviewers that Apple needs to allow more third-party apps to run in the background, especially a valuable get-things-done utility like this one. Audio apps run in the background; why not production apps like this one? Even with the Apple strait-jacket limitations, Clipboard is one of the best app investments Ive ever made. Update — A year later, I have no reason to change my 5-star assessment of Clipboard. Update again — Still indispensable to me, still an excellent app.

With apps crashing all the time under ios 9 (including iOS itself), its great that this little utility can save my work before Safari, Google, etc. crash, taking all my work with it. Why oh why didnt l have this great little utility before I lost 3 pages in a forum page reply. 5 stars

It wont copy pictures with text and half of time text dont copy.

This is the best of the several iOS clipboard apps Ive tried. Its one limitation--that it must be running in the background and refreshed occasionally--is imposed by Apple (for our overall benefit), so thats not a criticism. It stores whatever is copied to the clipboard, but keeps text, links, and images in separate tabs. Text clips are editable. To select a clip, just tap on it and it will be copied back to the device clipboard, and you can then paste it in wherever you wish. You can also delete clips that you no longer want.
